    A collection of rare, never-before-heard recordings from the early years of Johnny Cash's country music career to the icon's later years in L.A. will be released in February.

     

    Columbia Records will release the compilation album - titled Bootlegs 2: From Memphis to Hollywood - as a two-disc set featuring previously unreleased 11 demos and seven outtakes from when the singer began recording in 1954.

     

    Bootlegs 2: From Memphis to Hollywood is set to be released on February 22 - just four days before the country legend's 79th birthday.
