Barely having left the studio, The Raconteurs have announce their plans to release their newly finished album Consolers of the Lonely in a week's time. Yes, March 25th. The band finished the record in the first week of March and rushed it over to the CD pressing plant in record time. They explained their actions in a press release:

"The purpose: to get the album to the fans as soon as possible and as we promised. We wanted to get this record to fans, the press, radio, etc., all at the EXACT SAME TIME so that no one has an upper hand on anyone else regarding its availability, reception or perception."

Consolers Of The Lonely will be available via all major physical and digital retailers on March 25th, and the band will head out for some US dates in late April.
