Colombian star Shakira says she has teamed with a group of Latin artists to organize a "revolutionary" event to raise consciousness and provide aid. The event will be similar to Live Aid, but will focus on Latin America, whose ills have largely fallen off the international radar since Sept. 11, 2001.

"We want this to be an event that brings world attention to poverty in Latin America," Shakira says, "which is virtually invisible to the rest of the world."
