Playboy Magazine made quite a splash this year at the annual SXSW Music Festival in Austin, TX. Playboy's 'Rock The Rabbit' project enlisted today's next crop of indie superheros (Monsters Are Waiting, Illinois, to throw down a late-night set for those lucky enough to squeeze into the packed warehouse. Austin's own Ghostland Observatory stole the show with an amped up set that primed the audience for a DJ set from Bloc Party's Kele Okereke. Expect to hear a lot more from Ghostland Observatory this year as their buzz slowly becomes a roar.
Despite the disappointing shortage of bunnies, Playboy's first SXSW event was hit which did exactly what it set out to do... rock the pants off of SXSW!
