Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon has reached a new milestone as Billboard reports that the album has now spent an unfathomable 1,500 weeks on the sales charts. The album entered the Top 200 when it was released in 1973, in July 1988, it finally fell off the Top 200. However, if you add in a later run on that chart and another 759 weeks on the Top Pop Catalog Albums chart, Dark Side has hit the 1,500 weeks mark. The album has now sold about 40 million copies worldwide and still moves about 8,000 or 9,000 copies on a slow week.
