Folk-influenced experimental rockers Akron/Family drew quite a crowd last friday (4.1.11) at The Parish in Austin, TX.  The Portland, OR and NYC-based trio just released their fifth studio album, Akron/Family II: The Cosmic Birth and Journey of Shinju TNT, and second since the departure of founding member Ryan Vanderhoof.  They're wrapping up their U.S. this weekend in San Francisco & Oakland and will be touring through Europe in May.  Check 'em out if you can!
