Framing Hanley is: Nixon (Vocals), Tim Huskinson (Guitar), Brandon Wootten (Guitar), Luke McDuffee (Bass, Backing Vocals) and Chris Vest (Drums). Beastie Boys have announced their "Get Out and Vote" tour. As Mike D. so succinctly put, "We hope that you can come out, have a nice night, dance, sing, get your freak on, and then wake up the next morning and get everyone you possibly can to vote." The tour kicks off in Richmond, Virginia on October 28, then makes its way to St. Paul, Minnesota and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 1 and 2, respectively. The rest of the dates will be announced soon.
Declaration, the latest release from Orange County metallers Bleeding Through, has debuted at #101 on the Billboard Top 200! The album also appeared at #14 on the Indie Chart and #19 on the Hard Music Chart. Declaration was produced by Devin Townsend and is said to be the band's darkest, heaviest and most extreme offering to date, while sacrificing none of the trademarked haunting melody of prior albums. It is the follow-up to Bleeding Through's 2006 album, The Truth, which saw the band grace the covers of Metal Edge, Outburn and Chord. The band is currently touring to support Declaration, with several record release shows in SoCal, including an appearance at Liskfest in Irvine, CA. The first record release show will be at Soma in San Diego and the second at the band's beloved Chain Reaction in Anaheim. Joining Bleeding Through at both shows will be Stick To Your Guns, Oblige and Let Live. Bleeding Through: 10/11 - Irvine, CA - Liskfest Bleeding Through w/ Stick to Your Guns, Oblige, and Let Live: 10/25 - San Diego, CA - Soma 10/26 - Anaheim, CA - Chain Reaction
Metal lives on! MTV2's Headbangers Ball, the longest running show on the network celebrates its 20th anniversary with a bang. Beginning on October 20th, Headbangers Ball takes you on a hard rock journey with noteworthy interviews, archive footage from the past 20 years, a roundtable discussion from Headbanger VJ's themselves, and many more. The Ball's first long term host was Adam Curry who was then replaced by the one and only Riki Rachtman in 1990. Moving from MTV to its current home on MTV2, Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed-fame took over the reigns and interviewed some of the sickest metal bands around. Jamey may be gone now, but keep on the look out constantly for special guests and the freshest videos on the web and TV. This week includes exclusive content and footage, killer music, and in-depth interviews. Some of these interviews include many of heavy metal's best such as Metallica, Mudvayne, Lamb of God, Testament, Anthrax and more.
