Ne-Yo and his girlfriend Monyetta Shaw have welcomed a baby girl into the world.

Monyetta gave birth to the couple's first child - named Madilyn Grace - on Friday night (11/12/2010), two months premature of her anticipated January arrival.

However, despite the baby coming sooner than the pair were expecting, the `Beautiful Monster' hitmaker revealed the way he feels about his newborn daughter is like falling in love for the first time.

He told People magazine: "I've been in love before but this feels like nothing I've ever felt. Like I'm in love for the first time."

Ne-Yo - who rushed from a charity event to the Atlanta hospital where Monyetta was giving birth - recently admitted while he was excited at the prospect of becoming a parent, he was also nervous about the responsibility which comes with it.

He said: "I'm so excited and nervous. It's amazing - I'm bringing another life into the world. But at the same time, I'm like, 'Oh c**p, I'm responsible for another human being.'

"I don't even buy my own underwear, where am I going to find his? But I'm so looking forward to it."
