Creating choruses and lyrics for stars like Rick Ross, Lloyd Banks and Keri Hilson, Kevin Cossum has made a name for himself as a reputable songwriter but has always dreamed of breaking out as a solo artist.

When he and Timbaland protégé Nate "Danja" Hill scored a #1 hit for Hilson's collaboration with Ne-Yo and Kanye West, "Knock You Down," the two discovered they have a very special "vibe and chemistry."

Hoping to create a similar magic for Cossum's solo debut, the two worked together to put out the singer's first single, "Baby I Like It," featuring Diddy and Fabolous, which has recently hit the airwaves.

Watch as MTV News catches up with the duo to talk about the exciting opportunity to bust out Cossum's solo career and the great response they're getting from their recent release.
