Glastonbury 2012 Cancelled

Glastonbury Festival 2012 has been cancelled because of a shortage of Portaloos.

The legendary music festival - which is held in Somerset in South West England and has been run by Michael Eavis since 1970 - has been postponed until 2013 because the Olympic Games in London will be using the majority of the country's temporary toilets.

There will also be a shortage of police as officers focus their attentions on the thousands of visitors brought to the capital city by the sports competition.

Michael said: "There will be severe shortages, so we've decided to cancel."

Tickets for next year's event have already sold out.

Earlier this summer, Irish rockers U2 hinted they are to perform in 2011 after being forced to pull out this year because frontman Bono injured his back.

The group alerted fans on to the fact tickets were set to go on sale for the June 2011 three-day event, by posting a message on their website which read: "Will U2 fans finally see 'Glastonbury' at Glasto?"

The message referred to a song, called 'Glastonbury,' which the band had prepared especially for the show.
