Electroacoustic singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding took a few minutes out of her super busy SXSW schedule to talk with us about her first American tour, releasing her album "Lights" recently in the US and how the states compare to the UK.
Starting her first US tour at her first SXSW, Ellie understandably experienced quite a bit of culture shock in Austin, TX! In between grubbing on "rubbish" during the festival, Ellie and her band played an impressive one to two shows a day throughout the week.
The indie rocker also explains how differently crowds react to her shows here than they do in the UK. Although she's got some "mad fans who really go crazy" back home, Ellie claims that the American crowd is generally more enthusiastic than her more reserved, laid back fans in the UK.
Excited to announce that "Lights" was just released, Ellie reveals that the album includes songs from her "Bright Lights" record that was re-released in the UK last year and admits that this American album is extra awesome because it's a combination of both!
