Exclusive Interview & Live Acoustic Performance With Anberlin
Anberlin took some time out of their busy schedule to chat with us about their latest album, Dark Is The Way, Light Is The Place, before their in-store performance at Waterloo Records in Austin, TX.
The guys played a special acoustic set at the famous Austin record store, taking time also to meet with some of their biggest fans.
Regarding the new album, lead vocalist Stephen Christian says, "I think I can speak for the band, like, we feel like this is the best record we've ever put out and we're the most proud of it. And we when look back, this is gonna be the record that we talk about, you know. And so for us, yea, the numbers do matter because we do want to record another record, but other than that, we've already succeeded. We're already really proud of this."
The band goes on to discuss their most recent video for "Impossible," claiming that since all of their previous videos have focused on deeper storylines and performance, they decided that this one would encompass more of an "artistic" feel, using super high-speed/slow motion and, interestingly, BB pellets.
To hear more about the video and what the guys have been up on their time off tour, check out this exclusive interview!
Be sure to watch Anberlin's live acoustic performance from Waterloo Records in Austin, TX, where they start from the beginning and play one song from each album from their career. Songs include "Naive Orleans," "Paperthin Hymn," "The Unwinding Cable Car," "The Haunting," "Feel Good Drag," and "Impossible."
