Arctic Monkeys Move To Hollywood

Arctic Monkeys are renting a Hollywood mansion to record their fourth album.

The British indie band are paying £30,000 to stay in the property, in the exclusive Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles, while they record the follow-up to their 'Humbug' album- and they have already been warned to keep the noise down.

A source said: "Locals are worried a rock band moving in nearby would ruin the peace and quiet they're used to, so the lads have been told not to play their music too loud."

The 'My Propeller' rockers will be living near stars such as actress Jennifer Aniston and magazine publisher Larry Flint in the luxury house, which has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a spa, swimming pool with waterfalls and library - a far cry from the humble portrayal of the group's hometown of Sheffield, Northern England, which they evoked on their first album, 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not'.

The source added to The Sun newspaper: "The pad is really amazing. After being in the studio all day it's the perfect place to come back to and relax and let their hair down."

The group - singer and guitarist Alex Turner, guitarist Jamie Cook, drummer Matt Helders and bass player Nick O'Malley - will record with producer James Ford, who has worked on all three of the band's previous albums, and helmed initial sessions in London at the end of last year.

Alex has also been working with US actor and producer Ben Stiller to write tracks for the soundtrack of his forthcoming film 'Submarine'.
