For too many people in the 21st century, music has become little more than something to burn. But for the band Something To Burn, music remains everything it was ever meant to be, and more.
Something To Burn bridge the gap between rock and roll’s heady past and its uncertain future on their debut album Transitions, to be released this summer on Softdrive Records, the label founded by Stone Temple Pilots front man Scott Weiland.
Recently, the band sat down with Softdrive Records founder for an interview to talk about their new album, Transitions. You can view the interview at HERE
Greg Wayne lead singer had the following to say about working with Scott: “It's been great working with Scott Weiland cuz he's a fellow artist so he gets it, ya know? He gave us the means to make a
record, but then allowed us the artistic freedom to make the record we really wanted to make. In the end, he loved what we did so it worked out smashingly for everyone. Plus he has swords and who doesn't like swords? Haha!”
Scott Weiland speaks quite highly of Something To Burn and their debut album, “I think these guys are the best rock band out there cuz they're not just a rock band....their music is more than just rock...it has a lot of depth and a lot of vibe to it…Something to Burn is a band that's very important to this label...their songs sound really true and really real...you get that feeling in your heart as well as that feeling in your ears that makes you wanna hear the song over & over.”
On Transitions, Something To Burn have crafted an epic voyage as intuitive as it is responsive, ebbing and flowing with artistic vigilance and musical relevance. It truly offers "the whole album experience."
The music of Something To Burn resurrects what we've been missing from our musical past, while forging boldly ahead into the future, and serves as the perfect soundtrack for the party that bridges the two.
