Last night in Columbus, OH, Chimaira kicked off their summer touring schedule with a huge show in their home state. The band is headlining a string of US dates before the Decimation of the Nation tour kicks off on July 31. C will be direct support to Hatebreed on the Decimation of the Nation tour, along with Winds of Plague, Dying Fetus, and Toxic Holocaust.

Guitarist Rob Arnold comments: “After a nice little two month break at home, coming off one of the best tours of our career with the mighty Disturbed, we kicked off our summer tour last night in Columbus, Ohio. Only two hours from our home town in Cleveland, anxious fans traveled from all over the state to catch the set. The response was fantastic, and we were glad to see all the die-hard Chimairians in attendance. We hope the upcoming shows will feel as good as last night did, and we're looking forward to spreading the Infection over the coming months! Keep checking Chimaira.com for tour updates and news, and be sure to check out the show when we're in a town near you!”

Chimaira is touring to support their latest album, The Infection, which hit streets in April and debuted at #30 on the Billboard 200 (their highest chart debut ever!). Full upcoming tour dates are listed below.

     Guster

Boston-bred band Guster have just announced their nine-date headline tour, Lost & Gone Forever Ten Year Anniversary Tour, which will kick off 10/28 in Charlotte, NC and wrap on 11/27 at the Beacon Theater in New York.  This anniversary tour will be Guster’s only headline dates of this year.

Ten years have passed since the band’s critically acclaimed release of Lost and Gone Forever which in their words “helped us graduate from our van to a bus”.  These nine very special evenings with Guster will include two sets, one of which will be the album in its entirety and no opening act.

Guster has specially chosen each venue as they have historical significance to the group.  Higher Ground in Vermont (now in new location) was where they launched the original “Lost & Gone Forever” tour.  Ten years ago at the Orpheum, in Boston, Guster put on an epic Halloween show wearing tuxes and pretending it was New Year’s Eve, Y2K.  The Beacon in New York harkens back to a time when they played Thanksgiving Weekend in NYC five years in a row.

Tickets for these shows will go on sale this Friday, July 17th.  Ticket purchases are available at Ticket Master and Live Nation:

Once again teaming up with director Paul Brown (also directed the music video for "King Without A Crown"), Matisyahu returns with the first music video from Light,
his first full-length album in three years.

"The idea was to create this kind of organic, underground vibe of how the music and the message gets spread, which is kind of how it happened for me the first time around.  It's just people talking to each other and getting out there, spreading the word.  In the video you have kids going around the city and putting up posters and fliers and it kind of creates this buzz thing that happens, and ultimately climaxes into this larger thing," explains Matisyahu.

"It kind of goes along with the message of the song 'One Day' and the conscious, positive message.  I guess it's how consciousness and positivity get spread like a wave. It starts with a few people, one person does this one good thing and it's like a chain, where you go from one good thing to the next. That’s the idea of the song, that positivity and goodness can spread in that same kind of way."

Known for his live shows and ability to connect with fans through music and performance, Matisyahu continues to tour through mid-August.  Don't miss your chance to see Matisyahu perform songs from his new album, Light.  Follow Matisyahu at WheresMatis.at and Twitter.com/matisyahu for live feeds of his whereabouts and your chance to participate in intimate listening sessions, acoustic jam sessions, and fan meetups.
