    slash

Velvet Revolver/ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash's Official Fan Site has been updated with the following:

"On the net, rumor has it that RCA has dropped Velvet Revolver. Slash says that while it is true that VR is no longer with RCA, the truth is not as negative as the rumor.

The band owed RCA money for a third album which at this time they are unable to produce (no singer). The band and RCA parted amicably.

When they are recording the new album, it most likely will be for a new label."

In early October, Slash spoke to Rollingstone.com about a number of topics. A few excerpts from the chat follow:

Rollingstone.com: What is the status with Velvet Revolver?

    Slash:
"Everything is cool. We’ve been writing this whole time, but we’re on this quest for a singer."

    Rollingstone.com:
It wasn’t so long ago when you were in this situation, back when the band was getting together.

    Slash:
"We spent at that time 10 months listening to 200 singers a week, and chased after Scott (Weiland), and managed to make that work. We were off and running, but then things fell short and we’re at it again. It’s actually sort of a blessing, because we originally wanted to do something really heavy and it took a different turn, especially on the last record. This time around we’re not going to make any compromises."

Rollingstone.com: Did you learn any lessons learned from the last search?

Slash: "Singers are a very interesting breed. It’s hard to be choosy when it comes to finding somebody talented enough to be a really great frontman for a rock n' roll band. There’s always something that comes along with it, just like with any musician. It’s all worth it if you manage to get those magical moments."

    Bleeding Through

In support of their brand new album, "Declaration," Bleeding Through will begin an extensive US tour presented by their friends at Zambooie.com and Revolver Magazine. Zambooie.com & Revolver Magazine Present The "Declaration" Tour, the first U.S. headlining trek from OrangeCounty's Bleeding Through in over three years.

Joining Bleeding Through on the dates will be Acacia Strain, As Blood Runs Black and Impending Doom. The US leg of the "Declaration" tour will follow the band's Australian tour, which features Between The Buried And Me, As Blood Runs Black and In Trenches. This is the first Bleeding Through US headlining tour since "The Truth" Tour in 2006, which featured support from Every Time I Die, Between The Buried And Me and Haste The Day.

Since "The Truth" tour and the release of the album of the same name, Bleeding Through has spent the last three years on the road as a second stage headliner on Ozzfest and on tour with Marilyn Manson, Slayer, Senses Fail and HIM and the the Soundwave Festival in Australia, as well as their first ever shows in Mexico (as part of the first ever Mexico City Warped Tour date with Underoath) and Southeast Asia.

Bleeding Through recently completed the No Fear Tour with Bullet For My Valentine in the US. They are in Europe with Bullet and Lacuna Coil through the end of the year and will stop to play their first ever Russian shows before coming home. They are also headlining select club dates during the Bullet tour in Europe.

"We are very excited about headlining the states next year," commented Bleeding Through frontman Brandan Schieppati. "We are looking forward to playing a lot of tracks from the new CD and some old favorites as well."

Produced by Devin Townsend, "Declaration" is the band's best-reviewed album, racking up critical praise in Metal Hammer, Kerrang!, Alternative Press and elsewhere around the world. It is the followup to "The Truth" (2006) and "This is Love, This is Murderous" (2003), which have sold over a quarter million albums combined worldwide.

"This tour is going to spark the return of Bleeding Through the headliner, not the support band," Schieppati promises. "And we're bringing bands along that we love in order to create the best show we can."

All confirmed dates will be listed on the band's websites, with new dates being announced all of the time.www.bleedingthrough.com
