    confessions

The Confession, championed by Alternative Press as one of "100 Bands You Need To Know in 2007" pounded audiences this summer on the Vans Warped Tour. Blazing through tracks from their debut CD entitled Requiem, produced by Avenged Sevenfold's M. Shadows, the Dana Point, California band is now readying themselves to hit the road this Fall on the Tour of Duty with metal juggernaut Megadeth.

This month The Confession will film the video for "Dance with the Devil" in NYC with director Kevin Custer (Beneath the Massacre, The Destro, Subzero) and executive producer Darren Doane (Pennywise, Deftones, Underoath). Director Kevin Custer describes the video for "Dance with the Devil" as "raw and dirty and packed with a serious punch. The video unfolds with a young and innocent girl who unwittingly finds herself befriending a menacing host (the Devil) who takes her on a dark and sinister journey through a sensual underworld. Throughout the video The Confession will deliver a hard and explosive performance that will absolutely destroy."

Independent rock label Equal Vision Records has signed Fred Mascherino of Taking Back Sunday's side project, The Color Fred, and will release his first studio album, Bend To Break, on October 30th.

Before joining Taking Back Sunday as lead guitarist and co-vocalist, Mascherino and his former band Breaking Pangaea released their Phoenix EP through Equal Vision in May of 2003, and have continued their artist/label relationship ever since.

"I've been a fan of what EVR has been doing for a long time. From Saves The Day to Coheed and Cambria to Circa Survive, I feel like there's always a certain integrity to the records they put out," says Mascherino.

Equal Vision's label manager Dan Sandshaw continues the mutual sentiment saying, "I have always loved Fred as a person and respected him as a musician. I really like how Fred's songwriting has evolved over the years, and I can't wait to see what he does next."

Fred once again chose to work with producer Lou Giordano (Sunny Day Real Estate, The Lemonheads) to record Bend To Break, whom he met during the sessions for Taking Back Sunday's gold-selling album, Where You Want To Be.

Bend To Break was completed last month at Millbrook Sound Studios in the peaceful mountains of upstate New York.

"Millbrook is two hours from everywhere," explains Masherino. "It was the perfect place to get away and focus on just the record and nothing else. It was one of the best experiences of my life."

Bend To Break will be available in stores everywhere on Tuesday, October 30th. Expect The Color Fred to be touring in the months leading up to the release.

Hear a new song from Bend To Break called "If I Surrender" at The Color Fred MySpace Page.

A major standout from this summer's stellar Van's Warped Tour is Arizona's Blessthefall. Their incendiary set, which included their own "wall of death" mosh pit that drove audiences into a complete frenzy, won over new fans on a daily basis, leaving them a sweaty, exhausted mess.

    Bless

Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman recently said, "Blessthefall are one of the rising stars of this year's tour. Their crowds increased every single day."
As the band's profile skyrocketed over the summer, fans voted them into the top spot in the Energizer "Demand It" contest in Phoenix, Virginia Beach and Montreal, earning Blessthefall longer sets in each city. Stalwarts of the Smartpunk stage, this summer saw the debut of their "Guys Like You Make Us Look Bad" video, enjoying a solid two-month run on MTV's "Headbangers Ball" and Fuse's "Uranium."

The Myspace "Featured Artist" in April, the band's stats have risen through the roof lately with nearly 1 million plays of their video; their current friend count is nearly at 105,000 with over 2 million profile views. Indeed Blessthefall is poised to build on their Warped Tour momentum as they prepare to hit the road this fall with Escape the Fate, before joining Silverstein overseas at the end of the year.

Watch Blessthefall's action-packed, mesmerizing "Wall of Death" video clip at

What others are saying about Blessthefall:

"...strangulated, larynx-mincing howls, pulse-quickening guitar leads, double-bass drumming that sounds like a herd of buffalo stampeding through your living space-but Blessthefall's emphasis on real songwriting and tight hooks give their music a melodic edge."- Revolver

"Blessthefall come storming out of the Arizona desert...part As I Lay Dying heaviness, part Underoath accessibility.."- Metal Edge

"An epic wall of sound..."- HM

"...powerful and potent tracks that convey a young band as capable as their more established counterparts..."- Synthesis

Another 30 minute show of mindless entertainment has corrupted out TVs!

Brett Michael, lead singer of Poison, was given a VH1 reality show to find the love of his life. LOL

The show expands our horizons on stripping, how hard it is to be a rock star (only 1 hard thing in that house), and how desperate out community of silicon breasts want to be on TV.

So any Sunday night you want to drop your IQ a few levels or just don't feel like paying for the Spice channel tune in VH1's "Rock Of Love."

I'm sure you will be shocked by the this news Amy Winehouse has checked into rehab...supposedly.

After ACTUALLY showing up for a performance at Lollaplooza in Chicago... Amy went on a 3 day bender with hubby Blake which caused her to collapse.

Winehouse was then rushed to the hospital for which was first being released as "severe dehydration," but now a statement was released has been released claiming a combo of heroin, which Winehouse is saying she has never injected..yes smoking heroin is less self destructing then injecting Amy...extacy coke, special K yup the cat tranquilizer, and booze.

Was she writing her will as she was consuming this circus of drugs?

Prob not but it would explain her ghostly 80lb appearance and the reason for all the canceled shows.

Winehouse's father who she speaks of in her smash hit "Rehab" no pun intended supposedly stepped in to getting Amy better and in the mean time caused a fight with the in laws. The fighting upset Amy so much she decided to check into a rehab clinic in Hook, Hampshire.

I guess those lovely tabloids all over the place the past few months wasn't enough.

Like I said this is all supposedly because an insider of the Winehouse crew has stated today Amy is not in rehab she is really locked in a hotel room in London.

I guess this is another new celebrity detox program...Amy just go to rehab and say yes, yes, yes..

    Against Me
Tom Gabel, lead singer of Against Me!, and his girlfriend stopped in a coffee house on Monday, August 13 where an article of the band posted on the wall had been defaced with obscene remarks. Gabel proceeded to rip the article off the wall, and when questioned by a patron he supposedly grabbed the patron's neck and slammed his head on the counter. Right before the police showed up, the victim escaped and Gabel denied ever assaulting anyone. Gabel was still arrested and and spent the night in jail.
