Alt-country rocker Ryan Adams has booked a 12-city summer tour with this band the Cardinals, culminating with a stop at this year's Lollapalooza festival in Chicago.
The itinerary includes a return visit to Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, where in 2002, Adams became incensed when a fan shouted a request for similarly named rock act Bryan Adams' "Summer of '69."
After being rushed to a London hospital with a blood infection, KoRn singer Jonathan Davis is at his Los Angeles home recovering. However, he's excited to get back out on the road with the Family Values tour, which begins July 27 in Virginia Beach. Davis had been diagnosed with immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), which causes the number of platelets in the blood to shrink to severely low levels, and he has responded very well to the treatment. Aerosmith and Motley Crue will hook up in the fall for the 27-date Route Of All Evil tour. The road to evil kicks off on September 14 in Holmdel, NJ and ends in West Palm Beach, FL on November 24. The first few dates - Camden, NJ, Boston, Washington, DC, Tinley Park, IL, East Troy, WI and Detroit - go on sale June 24, according to Pollstar. Two more shows, Holmdel, NJ and Jones Beach, NY, go up for sale June 26. Other on-sale information is still TBA.

The Flaming Lips have confirmed their summer tour schedule, staring this weekend with the U.K. Wireless Festival. After a handful of European dates, the band returns to the States for a variety of festival and theater gigs in July and August, including Lollapalooza in Chicago. The majority of their August gigs will be supported by Sonic Youth and The Magic Numbers. The Flaming Lips will be on tour at least until the end of September.
U.K. buzz band Arctic Monkeys have split with bassist Andy Nicholson. Originally it had been announced that he would be sitting out the band's next leg of touring due to exhaustion, but on their official Web site, the Monkeys write, "We are sad to tell everyone that Andy is no longer with the band.
The Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival took over Manchester, TN for the weekend, as the event celebrated its fifth anniversary. The festival has evolved from a jam-band-centric lineup to a more well-rounded mix of hipster favorites (Death Cab For Cutie, Beck) and Rock stalwarts (Tom Petty, Elvis Costello) alongside the likes of Phil Lesh and Rusted Root. Also there was the added draw of Radiohead, playing their only festival appearance in the U.S. this year.
