According to the Swedish newspaper Expressen, Hardcore Superstar guitarist Thomas Silver was removed from an airplane in Gothenburg after he was mistaken for a handicapped person.
The Swedish rock band boarded a flight yesterday (June 28) from Sweden to Italy, where they are scheduled to perform today at the Days of the Dead festival. Silver sat in the first row and was wearing a "big" wristband (photo) that generates heat, a precautionary measure since the guitarist has been having problems with his right wrist.
"A flight attendant told me I wasn't allowed to sit there. To sit in the first row, you must be able to assist in the event of an emergency.

Staind have announced that they will stay on the road for more headlining tour dates. Their next trek kicks off August 6 in Madison, WI and is currently scheduled through September 16 in Huntington, WV. Seether and Three Days Grace will reportedly be some of the bands to open for Staind during the tour.
Axl Rose has been released from jail following his arrest in Sweden on Tuesday morning. Rose was arrested for allegedly biting a security guard in the leg and causing damage to a Stockholm hotel during a drunken argument with a woman in the lobby. However, Rose was released from jail on Tuesday night after confessing to the charges and agreeing to pay a fine of $5,500
The Voodoo Music Festival in New Orleans has added a number of new acts to its lineup, including the Wu-Tang Clan, My Chemical Romance, The Flaming Lips, Social Distortion and Kings of Leon. The festival will take place on October 28 and 29.
