Play This
I made this playlist based on who I have seen live, and who I am still dying to see. I have never been to lolla, never been VIP to anything, and never seen a majority of the artists on the lineup live. Music engulfs my entire soul and the thought of going to this festival makes my stomach flip. Grace Potter I have seen quite a few times and I am left short of breath every single time. I truly think she will continue to rise and become a music legend of this generation. Portugal. The Man is a group on the rise, and my only experience seeing them live is through youtube. Atmosphere is nothing short of badass. Arctic Monkeys are pure rock and pure feel good music in my opinion. I put The Cars on my playlist because they mark such an important part of my music life. Once I discovered The Cars, my entire music world changed and I was opened up to so many artists and musicians-they hold a very special place in my heart. I Put Deadmau5 on there, because I saw him live at Bonnaroo 2010, and It was an experience I will never forget. Deadmau5 fans are a close knit family, and I made so many friends at that show. Flogging Molly because I love punk and I am very Irish! They are on a list I have of artists I need to see before I die (along with many other artists on the lolla lineup). Keller William...no explanation needed. I picked all of these artists and their songs because not only are they all awesome and I would love to see all these artists perform in the flesh, but I think for anyone going to lollapalooza- and especially someone who hasnt been to a lot of concerts, this is an awesome playlist because it really gives you a feel of how Lollapalooza is diverse in its music selection, and really shows that there is an artist there for everyone, no matter your preferred genre. This lineup is completely out of control awesome and I believe it would be a life changing experience to attend. I have only been to two other festivals in my life (bonnaroo and virgin festival)and would love to attend something new. I would not take the opportunity lightly to be able to go to Lollapalooza. I am grateful for music and when I am seeing a good live show, there is no where else in the world I'd rather be. Good people and good music are my recipe for happiness, and Lollapalooza (and my playlist) for damn sure has some good music.

Foo Fighters-White Limo
OK Go-Invincible(Live)
Eminem-Not Afraid
Eminem-Beautiful
Eminem-When I'm Gone
Dr. Dre featuring Eminem and Skylar Grey-I Need a Doctor
Eminem-3 a.m.
Bright Eyes-First Day of My Life
Black Lips-O Katrina!(Live)
Two Door Cinema Club-I Can Talk(live)
Hi there,
As instructed, I'll start by saying why I selected the videos that I did. The first video that I selected was Foo Fighters "White Limo". I like the way "White Limo" is shot. It seems... classic. There's a grainy quality. It seems like a 90's video. I love music videos, but I especially love the ones that seem like a group of friends with a video camera having a great time. The Foo Fighters have a great sound.
My next video is OK Go's "Invincible". I love OK Go. When you think back to "Here It Goes Again", you wouldn't think that they would have developed to this degree, but they really have. It's one of those bands that seemed as if they would become a novelty act. They're not.
My next video is Eminem's "Not Afraid". I adore Eminem. Out of all of the acts performing at Lollapalooza, he is who I want to see most. "Not Afraid" is a great song and a fantastic video. Marshall Mathers is such a powerful rapper. He talks about something - put's himself out there. Not many people could have a music video where the majority is walking down a street full of mirrors and make it interesting, but he can.
The next four videos in my playlist also involve Eminem. "Beautiful", "When I'm Gone" (then a song featuring Eminem) Dr. Dre's "I Need a Doctor", and "3 a.m.". While a lot of rappers only rap of sex, booty, girls, money, and girls - Eminem takes what he thinks and feels and puts it on a sick beat. "When I'm Gone" is one of my favorite Eminem songs. It shows feelings you wouldn't expect from, not just rappers, but any artist. The "3 a.m." video is ridicuously amazing. It's.... jarring. He is so 'out there' and wierd...it's fantastic.
Even when Eminem is only featured in the song, it becomes one of the most notable parts. Marshall's passion for Dr. Dre and all he's done for him is admirable. I've never gotten to go to Lollapalooza. I've deffinetly never seen Eminem and I think it's clear that I think he's... an incredible
inspiration.
Lollapalooza is a event to find new artists. It's an event to expose yourself to music you hadn't known before. Bright Eyes are awesome. I think they have a simple quality that translates miles. "First Day of My Life" is a sweet video. It's one of the rare videos that touch your heart just a smidge. Black Lips "O Katrina!" is a very catchy song about a very serious incident. The video for the song on my playlist is of them performing it live. The actual video for it is really great, though. I love that the show the happy side of New Orleans. They show what Hurrican Katrina tried to take away.
I initially like Two Door Cinema Club for their name. Let's face it, that's a good name. I like their sound, yeah. The video in my playlist is also live. The real music video, however, is enamoring. They're walking and ripping body parts off to become someone else. It's crazy. I love it.
I have to say, if you pick me to get the tickets... I won't be mad at all :)

To all the kind folks at Roxwel,
I have a quick story to tell.
I really love Lollapalooza,
but this year I'll be a Lolla-pa-LOSER.
See I was waiting to have money to buy,
But "soldout!" they screamed and I cried.
But NO! What a lineup this is!
It's one I simply can't miss!
My life- it is over! Depression galore!
I really can't live another day more!
WAIT! Is that a contest I see?
Roxwel will give tickets to ME?
All my favorite videos, I will compile,
Hey Roxwel, I like your style.
With so many great artists it's hard to choose,
But I'll have to, because I just can't lose.
Lolla is just 8 days away,
And I admit I'm starting to panic,
If I don't win some tickets, my life will hit mode: manic.
The Kills and Beirut and woohoo- Lykke Li!
Arctic Monkeys and The Drums all playing for me.
Foster The People, "Pumped Up Kicks" in my head,
Smith Westerns and Ellie Goulding- this is not something to dread.
Tinie Tempah- you hit maker, and Portugal. The Man, too
Man, if I miss this, Roxwel, I'LL BLAME YOU.
Just kidding, just joking, but I think I'd be the perfect winner
I love Lolla way too much and I'll even cook you dinner.
Just consider that offer, I make a mean stir fry,
Plus, if you don't pick me, I'll just cry, cry, cry.
So, please pick me! and make me the happiest girl,
with Roxwel on my computer, in the whole wide world!
Thanks for considering, pick me!! Please? :)

I guess I'm not the only one entering this contest with a story to tell, and I can't certainly say my story is much different, but here goes. I turn 16 in a month, but I would say for an almost-16 year-old, my musical tastes aren't quite what you'd expect. Sure, I'll go for Gaga time to time, but I also have developed a high appreciation for all sorts of music. Cantaloop by Us3 was the song of my childhood. The Avett Brothers is one of my favorite current bands. I like artists ranging from Pidgeon John to My Chemical Romance to Josh Ritter, and everything in between. And from this high appreciation of music, I've also found a passion. Rarely do I find myself ever happy as I am when I'm singing, or playing piano, or even having a new concert experience. I find the magic of music as a common language to be more powerful than the latest Harry Potter flick, and to be a part of it is so incredible.
But never would I have this appreciation and passion if not for one person-- my dad. The reason Cantaloop is such a staple of my childhood is because when I was younger my dad always played it whenever we'd wrestle or play video games. My dad was the one who convinced me to play piano, and now I'm writing with it. Almost all of the bands I discover I find from my dad, and the one thing that really holds our relationship strong is music. Last year my dad scrounged up the money he could so I could finally go to Lolla, and it was one of the best days of my life. Not only did I love seeing some of my favorite bands, such as Spoon, and Green Day, but I loved getting to experience so much music I've never heard before. The music, the food, and the atmosphere of community is something you don't experience anywhere else, and to get to do it all in my favorite city that I've grown up visiting, with my dad who I have countless memories with, was something I'd love to do again. This year, unfortunately, we weren't able to come up with the money in time. Now I'd love to see bands such as Deadmau5, and Foo Fighters, and Cage the Elephant, Best Coast, and what not, but to be honest, the true reason I want to go is for Coldplay. Coldplay has been my all-time favorite band since 2005, and of course my love for them developed from my dad, being one of their favorites too. Our love and appreciation for Coldplay has been a big part of our relationship, and to just get to see them up close, feel the music, and experience the magic again with my dad would be incredible. So that's why I really wanna go to Lolla this year. Tons of friends have said they'd go with me, but I don't want to go to Lolla without my dad, and this is my last chance.
I picked all of these songs because in some way, they hold nostalgia for me and my dad.
Ghosts n Stuff - Deadmau5
my dad and I both are not techno people, but we agree that our biggest exception would be Deadmau5. I remember one particular road trip where we made a Deadmau5 station and this song came up.
Paris (Ohh La La) - Grace Potter & The Nocturnals
I actually have not been familiar with Grace Potter until the band was announced on the Lolla line up. I picked this song, however, because it is a demonstration on how my Dad is always getting me introduced to new bands, and turns out I like this one a lot.
Lights - Ellie Goulding
My dad and I both discovered Ellie Goulding through Conan, actually. Conan is yet another thing we share, and one of our favorite parts is watching the musical acts, whether familiar or not. Conan and Lolla share that fun of discovering a whole bunch of new music you've never even heard of.
Around My Head - Cage the Elephant
My dad and I discovered the Cage together while watching Jools Holland, another music show we watch to discover new artists. We were actually watching this particular episode, I believe, because Coldplay was featured on it, but once we heard Cage, we both fell in love with them.
The Saints Are Coming - Green Day
Okay, I know they're not playing this year, but I wouldn't be making a playlist that demonstrated how bad I want to go to Lolla with my dad if I didn't include Green Day. Watching them last year was such an incredible experience, and the band brings me back all through my childhood, to my Dad's "Dookie" shirt he would wear, to seeing the albums in our collections, to him making CDs for me that included their music. Seeing them at Lolla with my dad made it the most memorable experience, and to be able to go again I know would make it even better.
I couldn't find all the songs I wanted to on this site, but if I could include one more I didn't find, it would be "Fix You" by Coldplay. As I mentioned, Coldplay has been the one band me and my dad have really bonded over, and I like this one particular song because it really demonstrates how my dad has always been there for me. My dad has always been there to support whatever I want to do in life, and half the things I find myself in love with, I wouldn't have even discovered without him. My dad has always been there to protect me and to be there when things aren't going so well, and I don't know where I'd be without him.
His birthday is today, and I know there are people probably more deserving than me, but if I could be able to watch our favorite band perform the one song that describes how much he's been there for me, alongside my dad, I can't think of anything that would make me happier.

"Seven" - Lollapalooza Contest Entry - Matt Montequin
Seven. A lucky number to some. A Biblical number to others. There are Seven Wonders of the World, two European cars called "Seven", and one secret agent "007". Without a doubt, the number seven has perplexed humanity for ages.
Lollapalooza 2011 marks the seventh year of the festival since it rooted in Grant Park, Chicago. To stick with the theme of a 7th anniversary, I chose seven songs, and only those appearing 7th on their respective albums.
Growing up, I had a strange respect for the seventh song of the album. It seemed that on every CD or cassette tape that I owned, the artist chose to put the best song (or at least my favorite) between the 6th and 8th songs, creating somewhat of a climactic feeling around track seven. Putting this playlist together, my intentions were of highlighting both headliners (Eminem, OK Go, Kid Cudi) and lesser-known acts (The Drums, Noah And The Whale), in hope of best representing the true Lollapalooza experience. So without further ado, here is my playlist, simply titled "Seven".
1. OK Go - "A Million Ways"
Kicking things off is a live version of the song that went viral in '06 with its catchy riffs and video featuring some pretty snazzy backyard dance moves. Track 7 on Oh No.
2. The Drums - "Down By The Water"
"A Million Ways" shifts to this mysterious song that recalls the early Talking Heads. Track 7 on The Drums.
3. Ryan Leslie - "How It Was Supposed To Be"
This upbeat R&B tune from an artist who has quietly been establishing himself over the past few years is a nice change of pace, and gets another type of party going on the Lolla stage. Track 7 on Ryan Leslie.
4. Kid Cudi - "Day 'n' Nite"
The breakthrough single from Kanye West's favorite young rapper is one of the most distinctive hip hop songs in recent memory, and has been remixed a countless number of times. Here in its original state is the colorful video that put the MC from Cleveland on the map. Track 7 on Man on the Moon.
5. Noah And The Whale - "5 Years Time"
This Wes Anderson-themed video of a song that has appeared in some recent commercials is just another reason to check out the folky sound of these Brits. Track 7 on Peaceful, the World Lays Me Down.
6. Tinie Tempah - "Written In The Stars (ft. Eric Turner)"
A recent pop radio hit from another Englander, "Written In The Stars" can not only be heard at clubs nationwide but live from this rapper who just hopped over the pond. Track 7 on Disc-Overy.
7. Eminem - "Not Afraid"
Legendary rapper Eminem began his comeback in 2010 with this song and has remained on top of the game ever since. His style may has changed, but one thing remains... he is not afraid. Track 7 on Recovery.
(Note that not all videos were functioning at time of publish.)

My Playlist Includes:
Eminem ? When I?m Gone
Foo Fighters ? Walk
Bright Eyes ? First Day of My Life
OK Go ? This Too Shall Pass
Eminem ? Beautiful
Friendly Fires ? Kiss of Life
Eminem ? 3 a.m.
Dr. Dre feat. Eminem and Skylar Grey ? Doctor
Eminem ? We Made You
Eminem ? Not Afraid
(I?ve never seen any of these people live)
Hello. First off, I?m going to say why I selected the artists that I did. My first artist (and the show that I most desperately want to experience) is Eminem with his song ?When I?m Gone?. Eminem is one of the most gifted performers, I think, that has ever lived. He has an energy? that?s untouchable. ?When I?m Gone? is one of his songs that show how much he cares about what he?s saying. A lot of rappers talk about money and sex. They don?t open themselves ? share who they are with the fans. Eminem isn?t that way at all.
Secondly, I selected the Foo Fighters ?Walk?. It?s absolutely impossible to go wrong with the Foo Fighters. I always appreciate tracks with substance. It?s about relearning to be you when dismissed by someone (something I believe everyone will learn at one point or another).
When I saw the lineup for Lollapalooza, I didn?t recognize quite a few of the acts, so I started to look them up and absorb. One of my favorites from that exploration was Bright Eyes. ?First Day of My Life? is a beautiful song. It?s something that you don?t hear very often anymore. It has a calm demeanor, it?s simple. Sometimes the simplest words are the most stirring.
I recall OK Go and their poppy sound and catching video for ?Here We Go Again?. They were one of those bands that you didn?t think would ever have another good song ? another good video. People were wrong for thinking that. ?This Too Shall Pass? is not only a great tune, but it also continues their streak of fascinating music videos. They?re rather unique.
Friendly Fires was another one of my unearthing?s. ?Kiss of Life? is an exceptional video. Ed Macfarlane has a distinctive and enchanting voice that I hadn?t been expecting. Isn?t that what shows like Lollapalooza are about? Seeing your favorite artists? Unearthing wondrous finds? Being exposed to talents you wouldn?t normally have experienced?
My last four videos are from (and in Dr. Dre?s video ?Doctor? concerning, ?featuring?), as I stated earlier, a gifted individual. Eminem?s ?3 a.m.?, ?We Made You?, and ?Not Afraid? finish out my playlist. Eminem is an inspiration to many people (concerning his writing abilities and his decision to become clean and sober). While many terrible things have happened in his life, his music (because of those incidents) continues to get stronger. His words become more passionate, as well as his performances. He?s a lyrical genius.
I don?t get to? do these types of things. I don?t get to go to events like Lollapalooza. In my family, we?re lucky if my mom is able to go to the grocery store that week? I know that a lot of people want to go. Some want to go for a second time. I?ve never had the chance - I can?t afford it. For me, this wasn?t a possibility to begin with (basically it?s my shot in the dark). I know if my sister (whom I would bring with me) and I could go, it would mean so much. Thank you.

This song by Delta Spirit is about Bushwick in Brooklyn. Delta Spirit is a band that I really admire, but the reason I pick this song is basically is because it reminds me a very key moment in my life. As I was chasing, and I still am, my dreams of filmmaker, I always had a hard time supporting myself, specially 'cos I came from Brazil to NY with very little money and did not know anyone, and In this pretty hard times (like 1 year ago LOL) I've lived In Bushwick. So this music brings a lot of hards times memories, but, the funny thing is, I remember this hard times with joy. For the struggle and how, with very little money, Bushwick treated me well. Now I'm in a better place professionally, still struggling, but my efforts, from being away from my family and all the hard times In Bushwick is starting to pay off. So this song is a gentle reminder of how my struggle wasn't in vain and how I wasn't as crazy as my brazilian friends told me at the time, to leave a good job In National TV and a good home in Brazil to go to NY, Bushwick, in peruse of my filmmaking aspirations!

I chose these songs as an expression of how much my musical tastes bounce from one extreme to the other. Lollapalooza is a great place to explore these varying tastes, and has a little bit of something for everyone, regardless of background. I've seen a handful of these artists before, but the experience of their live performances in Chicago's own Grant Park is something to behold. I recently got into Ellie Goulding, and she simply has the voice of an angel, and the energy on stage to back it up. Deadmau5 makes my life worth living. Nothing compares to his live show, and it's simply exhilarating. Portugal The Man is simply a brilliant band that never stops making music, and it is apparent they love to do so. I'm never more as peace when listening to their soothing sounds. My playlist as a whole is rather ADD-esque, and I'm sure my weekend at Lollapalooza will do the same if I'm picked!

20th Anniversary of Lollapalooza!! The one thing I want to do before I die is RAGE with Girltalk on stage. I've been front row for a few of his concerts already and never got the chance so I'm hoping the 20th anniversary is good to me.

AHHH, lollapaloozaaaa! Well, I chose to add Two Door Cinema Club because their music just makes me happy and makes me want to dance forever. Bright Eyes because their song, First Day of My Life, gives me hope for the future. That and because the video is precious! Arctic Monkeys because, it's the Arctic Monkeys. I think that speaks for itself, however, i'll explain. Their music just kind of speaks to me. Driving around and just listening to them makes anytime a good one. Ratatat because they don't have to sing to me. They make insanely awesome music by just compiling a series of sounds. They're great. Cold War Kids because I fell in love with, Hang Me Up to Dry, and that opened my eyes to all indie music. They started it all for me. I plan to go to every indie rock festival in the span of two years. Why not start with my hometown Chicago!

Here is my playlist but I doesn't have the videos I would like on there because I couldn't find them. I'm not tech savvy. The artist that I really want to see is the Deftones!! They are my most favorite artist and I am a super fan. Unfortunately I haven't been able to see them earlier this year is because the day I left for Europe they came to Chicago and just my luck.I regret that my trip was so early because Aug.30 they'll be in the exact place in Europe I stay. But this band means so much to me and it was mean so much to go!! I eat, breath, sleep Deftones. I want to pay the 90 dollars for one ticket JUST to see the Deftones but thats so much money for teen. Sure there are other artist like Eminem, Foo Fighters etc, worth seeing.Seeing the Deftones would complete my life. That's why I would love to win these tickets. They are just so talented and so inspiring to me. I feel like going to this concert would be my second chance this year of seeing this band. Please, please, please I want to see them sooo bad!!! It would mean so much.

The artists I picked are Eminem, Ellie Goulding, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Kid Cudi and Foo Fighters. These are the performers I MOST want to see. I'd be especially ...excited about seeing Ellie Goulding and Grace Potter since I've never seen them. My new personal goal is to go to one new (to me) major music festival per year, and Lollapalooza is a great way to start, right?
Oh, and did I mention that I'm a dummy and booked my flight and hotel...and don't have tix...yet!? Yeah, it sucks. So save me from paying my hard earned cash to a scalper and help me go VIP! I'm ready to dance!

http://www.roxwel.com/playlist_manage.php This is my playlist. I've chosen these bands as there is too much talent to begin with. It all seems premature as fests' [depending on the size] can really take you to the beat of where you want to go. I look forward to seeing Local Natives and Atmosphere as I have seen them before. However, I like to dabble into different things I've never tried before. So perhaps this would be my chance to catch a little Keller Williams cameo for a quick couple minutes. In all........I look forward to live music, dancing, and getting schweaty with all the other crazies. Chicago is a beautiful city as this event is filled with cream filling. Cheers, and thank you for your time! :)

this is my playlist. i have chosen a variety of acts that i wish to see perform live this august. however my favorite artist will also be playing : eminem. i saw him for the first time ever last summer in ireland where i qued from 6 in the morning so i could be front row, he was unbelievable. i cannot wait to see him perform again. i also included two door cinema club as they are an irish band who i hugely admire. the other included artists are equally as talented and the songs speak for themselves. it would be fantastic to win these tickets as i love so many of th acts playing. hope you enjoy my playlist :)

I've made this playlist because it perfectly shows why I want to go to Lollapalooza. I actually want to take my mom to Lolla. Yes, I'm a 24 year old guy who wants to go to Lolla with his mom. The reason why is because the lineup has a great mixture of music that my mom go me into and music I've influenced her to try. For example, my mom always played The Cars and Foo Fighters when I was younger and I've since gotten her into newer music like Ellie Goulding, Lissie, Two Door Cinema Club & Kerli. Lollapalooza would be a great way for us to experience all the music we both love. I always tell my friends, my mom has the best taste in music of anyone I know. I might even get her to go crazy at Perry's stage, LOL!

I chose each of these songs because they are songs that my dad and I enjoy just cranking up and belting out to in the car, and they are quite lovely songs as well. It's just all about the experiences the songs bring back to me, because when I hear "this too shall pass" by OK GO, I immediately think of my dad and I driving for 12 hours just to go to the rock n roll hall of fame, when I hear "pumped up kicks" by foster the people, I immediately think of this trip we went on in search of record stores, All these songs just remind me of why my dad is so awesome, which is why I'm trying to when these tickets. We both just adore all of this year's lolla lineup. I mean I am a huge OK GO nerd, but that is beside the point. I just want to hear all of these songs in person with my dad, so we can jam out and party all weekend at lolla, I think that would be another excellent experience to remember when I hear these songs.

Play This
I made this playlist based on who I have seen live, and who I am still dying to see.

Pretty Lights-Exclusive Interview & Live Performance
Foo Fighters-Walk
Deadmau5 feat. Rob Swire-Ghosts n Stuff
Deadmau5 & Kaskade-I Remember
Ratatat-Drugs
Death From Above 1979-Romantic Rights
I kept mine short and sweet, but explain my selections so you may better understand why i need to go to Lollapalooza. All the artists I selected I have never had the privilege of seeing. I am from Kansas and we do not always get some of the more exclusive shows like Death From Above 1979! I really want to see Jesse and Sabastain throw it down like no other duo can. I also would love to see Pretty Lights and Deadmau5, because their crowds are second to none I heard. I also chose Foo Fighters, becuase they're the FOO FIGHTERS, Dave Grohl is the shiznit! I would love an oppurtunity to go see these artists and more that I have never even heard of before. I love live music, but we do not get much electronic music where I am from, help make my dream a reality! -DirtySouthBeats

My playlist includes The Naked & Famous, Two Door Cinema Club, Ok GO, Foo Fighters, Ratatat, Arctic Monkeys, Friendly Fires, Crystal Castles, Ellie Goulding, and Manchester Orchestra, but this FAR from a complete list of the incredible artists I want to see at Lollapalooza 2011. The line-up this year is just phenominal. Other artists i'm dying to see include: Skrillex, Super Mash Bros, Eminem, Lykki Li, Coldplay, Patrick Stump, Local Natives, Cage the Elephant, Portugal the Man, and Explosions in the Sky.
Lollapalooza is one of the only festivals near my hometown that never fails to accompany my wide variety of musical tastes. It blows me away how much variety there is at this festival and for years I've tried to go, but money is always the issue. Not only the ticket, but a place to stay as well. If I could just win these tickets, I would have enough money to split a hotel with some friends that are going. Not only for the music, but also to be able to celebrate Lolla's 20th Anniversary, in VIP style no less, as well as FINALLY being able to experience Chicago would make this the absolute highlight of my summer, hell, my year. I know there are so many others like me entering this contest, but god, it'd be beyond incredible to experience three days of my favorite music, to be in the good company of so many others attending, and to top it all off- all in the heart of the windy city.

This will be my first lollapalooza and what a way to start out as having the 20th anniversary. I was going to buy the 3-day pass but they were all sold out!! I really want to go to Lollapalooza this year a totally new experience that I will never forget!! My favorite aritst will be playing. I live in a small city in wisconsin, Oshkosh here we have Country usa,Rock usa, Livefest 2011. None of those music festivals get my attention.. But when I hear "Lollapalooza" I go nuts!! so Please!! Pick me!! this is my only chance I got. Hope you guys like my playlist

Here's my playlist. I tried to incorporate some headliners with some up and coming artists. I added Eminem's Not afraid because his performance at Bonnaroo blew me away. The songs from The Naked and Famous, Crystal Castles, and Foster the People are all feel good dance songs and I would love to see all three of these artists live. Cold War Kid's Hang Me Up to Dry and Kid Cudi's Pursuit of Happiness are two of the most played songs on my ipod. I will never get sick of these two. The OK GO and Foo Fighters sets are guaranteed to be some of the best at Lolla and my playlist would not be complete without songs from these artists. I saw White Lies for the first time at Lolla a few years ago. They definitely don't get the recognition they deserve so i added Death to my playlist. I was fortunate enough to see both Bright Eyes and The Arctic Monkeys oversees a few weeks ago. I added a couple of my favorites from these bands, Crying Lightning and Easy Lucky Free. Lissie is a truly talented artist and the song On My Chest completes my playlist. I hope you enjoy :)

Deadmau5 - Animal Rights
Pretty Lights - the time has come
Glitch Mob- Fortune days
Glitch Mob- Between two points
Pretty Lights - City of one
Kid Cudi- Cleaveland is the reason
Beats Antique- Roustabout remix
Ellie goulding- lights
cage the elephant- ant no rest for the wicked
skrillex - promises remix
collie budz- mamacita
collie budz- come around
I mean beside the obvious reason that i really wanna be rockin VP to this show. There arent just one or two artists im dying to see at this thing. The lineup is ill and i want to make the most out of what will be my last festival of the summer. First real time in chicago should be done right and i think VIP would pretty much do it. I want to see a variety of artists including (but not limited to) deadmau5, skrillex, foo fighters, tinie tempah, pretty lights (thisll be my 7th show god willing) eminem, kid cudi, beats antique, glitch mob, girl talk, etc etc. I feel like so many people going to this show are solely going for the big names like eminem and foo fighters, but every artist there should be valued as much as the headliners. Should be an epic show. heres to hoping i make it.

Well, I'm gonna make this short & sweet. I want to go to this concert SO bad. I really only have like 2 reasons why you should choose me.
1. I love eminem & Kid cudi.
2. I'm on my effing period for god sakes. Like give me a freaking break. First off I'm bloated. Can't fit in to my hollister shorts. I look like **** cause I'm so fat right now. My back is killing me so bad. It feels like someone is stabbing me, & hammoring me. Like, there is a ovarie going through my body right now? I mean out of every fluid it haf to be blood seriously? IM WEARING WHITE SHORTS! Are you kidding me? So, anyways. on top of all that. I'm having these b*tch swithces every 30 minutes. Mood swings I guess, every thing just gets on my nerves. My boyfriend didn't text me ack the other day so I threw my phone in a lake. So yah, just please give me these tickets I will go insane. & on top of that I SMELL LIKE FISH.

My bestfirned & I reallly want to go to this concert SO bad, we're spending all of our money we earned this summer from working towards our tickets. & we've been working seven days a week for six weeks. the tickets will take up all of our money! We're obsessed with Marshall mathers, like seriously OBSESSED. Oh & Kid Cudi! We've have been waiting for eminem to go on tour, but he hasn't in so long! So when we found out about this we were beyond excited. Plus, we live in Indianapolis & he would never come here. We have to drive 3 hours and a half to see him! Even though it's so worth it. we just really need free tickets, my mom is crazy about gas money and that's why she's not fully convinced we can go. we really need this oppotunity.

I lost the girl of my dreams. We both love Eminem. This contest could bring us back together. We share a bound through Eminem. I feel she is the one. This could be a dream come true. A moment like this might never come again. My life would be whole again. I have never wanted anything more then her. This contest might be my last chance at love. Eminem definds my life and winning this contest bring the happiness back in my life.

I would really love to go to Lollapalooza this year because the first time I went to Chicago it was not such a fun experience. I went to Chicago in 2003 to undergoe an experimental stem cell transplant for my lupus and thanks to the wonderful doctors and staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital I am alive today. Chicago holds a dear place in my heart because Chicago is the city that gave me a second chance at life. I would love to revisit the city at a healthy person and to finally be able to go out and enjoy the city itself. I am a huge fan of the entire line-up. Music has played a major role in my life not only to get through some of the most difficult and scariest times of my life, but music has also been there to help celebrate the amazing times as well. I would love to win this once in a lifetime experience but if I don't I am just happy that Chicago was there for me and gave me hope when others just simply gave up on me :)

Last year was my first time to Chicago and Lolla! That trip MADE my summer! My boyfriend and I, God bless him, waited 8 hours at Lady Gaga's stage so we could see her from the front row. I love Lady Gaga and was so happy that my bf waited with me. This year I was waiting to by tickets and the same day that I was going to buy them, the 3 day passes sold out! I really would love to win this competition so I can take my boyfriend to Lolla and thank him for camping out at Lady Gaga's stage, for a whole day, last summer. Chicago is a beautiful city and Lolla is an outrageously fantastic festival! I really hope my boyfriend and I can make it to the 20th year, and every year after that!
