Hailing from Arizona and Nashville, Reform The Resistance is made up of Jason Moncivaiz (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Sambo Moncivaiz (Bass/Backup Vocals) & Ryan Dugger (Drums). They band was born when brothers Jason and Sambo Moncivaiz set out to record their third album with their previous band Justifide on Ardent Records with mastermind producer Malcolm Springer (Full Devil Jacket, Greenwheel, Liquid Gang).
The sound changed after hitting the studio with Springer, leading to creative differences and a parting with the label. After 2 years of writing and recording, a record was finished, and all that was left to do was find a guitarist and drummer to complete the band.
Billy Dawson was the best guitarist the brothers knew, and after sending him the new music, Billy left Texas and moved to Nashville to become a full time member of the band. Drummer Ryan Dugger, a native of Nashville, joined the band shortly thereafter when he lost a bet to them in PS2 Madden Football. In July of 2006, they took shape.
Finally, after many years of hiding from the music scene, brothers Jason and Sambo Moncivaiz are ready to tear up the music circuit with their new band. Songs range from hardcore to ballads, but maintain deep convictions and meaningful lyrics through them all. Get the E.P. and don't miss the passionate live performances. "And It Begins..."
