Northern State are a female alternative hip-hop trio which formed in 2000 in Long Island, New York, United States. The group consists of Hesta Pynn (Julie Potash), Spero (Correne Spero) and Sprout (Robyn Goodmark). They have released three albums: Dying in Stereo (2002), All City (2004) and Can I Keep This Pen? (2007).
