From South Korea, to Nigeria, to Sweden, to the UK...Jihae's global knowledge of music fits right in with New York's rhythm. Encompassing all of her energies into one enchanting melody her songs carry with them the weight of an epic poem, the darkness of the most forebidden dreamworld and the magic of a fairytale. Fearless with her arrangements Jihae's songs feature guitar, cello, viola, bass, synth, drums, percussion and programmed beats.
On her critically acclaimed debut album My Heart is an Elephant (2007) Jihae collaborated with visionary filmmaker Michel Gondry on percussion and Lenny Kravitz on bass and guitar. With the experimental Afterthought, Jihae offers up four remixes of tracks, while on her sophomore record, Elvis Is Still Alive she received rave reviews from the music community.
As the days of 2010 draw closer Jihae is preparing to release her third full length record, Fire Burning Rain on September 7th on her own label Septem Records.
