Hailing from Chicago, IL, the band's name is taken from the Missouri trailer park that George Hunter grew up in. The band describe their music as, "Soulful howling over an acoustic guitar turned way up. Hopeful yearning for better days echoed through amps and a drum kit."
Catfish Haven is an indie soul/rock band from Chicago, IL. The trio includes George Hunter (vocals/guitar), Miguel Castillo (bass guitar), and Ryan Farnham (drums). They are signed to Secretly Canadian Records. Their debut album, "Tell Me", was released in 2006. Their second-full length, "Devastator", was released on October 7, 2008. They also released an EP, entitled "Please Come Back," in 2006.
They have toured with bands such as The Hold Steady, Pink Mountaintops, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Lucero, American Princes, and many others. In addition to their tours, they performed at Lollapalooza 2006 and also played a day-time set at SXSW '08 (South by South West) Music Festival in Austin, TX at Emo's, with The Smoking Popes.
