Alternative rock band from Buffalo, New York, formed in 1989.They began by creating soundtrack's for personal student films. The early work released was more focused on the experimental side of rock, but this gradualy became a more melodic, ornate sound. David Baker left after the second record, Boces, over musical and personal disputes; he later recorded an album as Shady. Original personnel were David Baker (vocals), Jonathan Donahue (vocals, guitars), Sean "Grasshopper" Mackowiak (guitars, clarinet), Suzanne Thorpe (flute), Dave Fridmann (bass) and Jimy Chambers (drums).
